Enterprise AI Consulting
A roadmap that ends in a scoped build
What this is
What enterprise ai consulting covers
Enterprise AI consulting for operations, finance, and technology leaders who have run a pilot that stalled or are choosing where AI belongs first. We map the workflows, the systems of record they touch, and the approval points, then rank use cases by cycle time removed and data readiness. The output is an Architecture Brief and a 12-week plan, with fractional CTO support if your team needs an owner for the program.
Typical timeline: 3–6 weeks
Who hires us for this
- COOs and heads of operations with a queue-based process (claims, prior auth, dispatch, KYC review)
- CTOs and CIOs asked for an AI roadmap by the board within a quarter
- Founders and product leaders who need a fractional CTO to own an AI program
Problems we get hired for
What usually goes wrong before we are called
The pilot worked in a notebook and nowhere else
The demo skipped exceptions, hand-offs, and the system of record. We rebuild the use case around the real workflow and name the write that needs a human gate.
Twelve use cases, no ranking
We score each on cycle time removed, data access today, and approval risk. Most teams end with two to three that justify a build; the rest become rules or a data fix.
No internal owner
A program with no named owner dies at renewal. Fractional CTO support covers architecture reviews, vendor calls, and hiring until an in-house lead exists.
How the engagement runs
Steps and the artifact each one produces
- 01
Discovery
Two to four working sessions with operators, not only executives. We watch the queue being worked.
Artifact: Workflow map with exceptions and systems of record
- 02
Ranking
Each candidate use case is scored on cycle time, data readiness, and approval risk.
Artifact: Ranked use-case sheet with kill criteria
- 03
Architecture Brief
Stack, integration surface, trust phase to start in, risks, and a cost band for the top use case.
Artifact: Architecture Brief (8–12 pages)
- 04
12-week plan
Week-by-week plan through shadow mode to first assisted action, with the metric that decides go or no-go.
Artifact: Plan plus staffing and budget range

Questions buyers ask
Frequently asked questions
- What does an Architecture Brief contain?
- The current workflow and its exceptions, the systems of record and their integration surface, the trust phase we would start in (shadow or assist), the stack, the three biggest risks, a 12-week plan, and a cost band. Eight to twelve pages. The first version from the contact form is free.
- Do you recommend AI even when it is the wrong tool?
- No. Roughly a third of the use cases we rank end as a rules change or a data pipeline fix. We say that in the brief. The banking ops case study started as an agent request and shipped as Temporal workflows with an LLM only at the classification step.
- How is fractional CTO work different from consulting?
- Consulting ends with a plan. Fractional CTO work owns the plan: weekly architecture reviews, vendor and hiring calls, and board-level reporting until you have an in-house lead. It is billed monthly and can stop at any month end.
- Can you work with our existing integrator or cloud partner?
- Yes. We often write the brief and the acceptance criteria and let an incumbent team build, or we build the governed AI layer while they own infrastructure. Boundaries are written into the plan.
- What do you need from us to start?
- Access to two or three operators who work the queue, a read-only export or screenshots from the system of record, and one executive who can approve the top use case. An NDA is signed first if you prefer.
When this is the wrong fit
- Teams that want a market-sizing deck or a generic AI strategy without a workflow to attach it to.
- Companies looking for a vendor to run a model bake-off without changing the process around it.

Send the workflow. We reply with an architecture sketch.
Describe the queue, the system of record, and who signs off today. First brief is free; NDA first if you prefer.
